Learn to to prepare your best alpaca fleeces for an AOBA Fleece Show: What makes a successful show fleece? Can I remove flaws and improve my score? Mistakes beginners make.

Great preparation for those contemplating a purchase of alpacas, as well. Learn the fine points of quality fleece before you make an investment.

Taught by Alise Schmitt of Genesis Alpacas. Alise has 10 years' experience in preparing top fleeces for competition, and served 4 consecutive terms as AlpacaPalooza Fleece Show Superintendent.

Class size limited to 8. Participants will work 2 to a table. Skirting tables provided.

Meet the combined herds of Genesis Alpacas and JRAM Alpacas, LLC at 1190B N. Arrowhead Rd. Camano Island, WA 98282. Watch adult alpacas interacting and crias (babies) at play. Alise Schmitt (Genesis Alpacas) and Ruthann McVicker (JRAM Alpacas) will be there to answer your questions about raising alpacas. Feed and fleece displays set up in the barn, as well as our Barn Boutique! Shop for holiday gifts now: luscious alpaca scarves, socks, sweaters, hats and yarn. Join us for light refreshments and a cup of hot coffee.
