Raw alpaca fleece for spinning and felting

Raw fleece is available to pick up from the farm; most are fine show quality fleeces. Alpaca fleece is naturally free of lanolin, carefully shorn and picked free of major vegetation.

Free shipping is not available on this item. Please contact us to arrange purchase. The following fleece grades are available:

$2.00 per ounce: Blanket fleece is the prime from the back and sides of the animal. Soft, crimpy, 3-6" staple length. Little to no guard hair in our super fine, baby and royal baby grade fleeces. Best for next-to-the-skin wear.

$1.00 per ounce: Neck & belly fiber is fine or slightly coarser, 2-4" staple length. Soft, crimpy fleece contains some guard hair that can be removed by hand if desired. Some neck fleece is short and fine, minimal crimp, minimal guard hair.

$.50 per ounce: Coarser leg fiber has higher insulating qualities. 1-3". Uses: felting, rugs, insulating layers.
